Hi !! I am known on the net as IceTea !! I am from Southern California I have twin boys that are age 9. I like the beach and the mountains, camping, swimming, boating .
We spend a lot of time at ragging waters *S* I also enjoy the movies reading and listening to that good OL' Rock & Roll Music... I Love my P.C., and spend a lot of time
chatting on ICQ. Even been asked if my computer is stuck in the on line mode I enjoy crafts when I get time for them..
I spend a great deal of my time at school as a teachers assistant, this year my boys started at a new school which just opened September 98.. The school is a charter type of school, personally I am thrilled with the program. The Edison Project was formed in 1991 and was developed to create schools in which high standards, creativity, technological, sophistication, high motivation, accountability and other elements that contribute to excellence. The Edison Project forms partnerships with the public school systems, and with charter school boards of trustees across the country. Under contract to public authorities, we bring education and management into the school districts. The schools remain public and open to all students, at no costs and funded with tax dollars. Edison is a private company that provides a service to the public. The Edison Project invests substantial private capital in every partnership. The schools are equiped with sophisticated technology. The schools provide a computer to each family of a student third grade or higher, "which are connected to the school network". Edison remains accountable for student achievement, greater family involvement, and enhanced teacher satisfaction. Edison is a partnership with communities and families. Each student is put into a "house" an organization where a groups of students works with the same teachers for several years, which is a benefit to the students and teachers. A school community that allows teachers and administrators to know all students as individuals.
As I have said I have twin boys age nine. They are the joys of my life... They are a bit busy. One of my sons has A.D.D. and the other is A.D.H.D.. It is no big deal many people had ADD or ADHD an don't even know it.. I did want to say that is was suggested by a few Dr.'s to try putting the kinds into a martial arts class, as it has been know to help in other cases.. In my sons cases I saw a significant difference in their behavior.
